US Airways Express Changes in Service - LGA and BOSJust Plane News 2011-09-08 19:11:07US Airways Express partner Pinnacle Airlines Corp., parent company of Colgan Air and Mesaba Airlines, has informed US Airways that they will reduce their flying for us later this year. Effective Oct. 1, Colgan Air service from BOS will be reduced and the airline will cease operating BOS to Syracuse, N.Y. (SYR) flights. Service to Albany, N.Y. (ALB) will be reduced as well. The remaining BOS service provided by Colgan Air to three cities - Plattsburgh, N.Y. (PBG); Presque Isle, Maine (PQI) and Bar Harbor, Maine (BHB) - is Essential Air Services (EAS), which Pinnacle has indicated that they intend to exit as well upon completion of the contract. That change is expected to occur in early 2012. Also, on Dec. 23, Mesaba Airlines will end service for US Airways Express at New York LaGuardia (LGA) airport. US Airways service from LGA, as well as the BOS to SYR flights, will continue even after the Mesaba/Colgan reductions.
