US Airways buys Saab sensorsJust Plane News 2012-01-23 04:42:18US Airways Group Inc. has picked Saab Sensis Corp.'s Aeroban airport surface management system for use at its hubs at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Philadelphia International Airport and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Those are the three hubs for the Tempe-based airlines (NYSE: LCC). Saab Sensis is a subsidiary of defense and security company Saab AB. Use of the Aerobahn technology should minimize missed connections and delays, US Airways says. The technology combines operational data and airline information, including planned arrival and departure gates and passenger/bag connection information.
