Snow forces Alaska Airlines to cancel 38 flights; other airlines follow suit

Some travelers concerned about braving the elements to make the journey to Sea-Tac Airport today won't have to worry about making their flights. The airlines may have already canceled them. Sea-Tac's biggest airline, Alaska Airlines, today said it has canceled a total of 38 flights to and from the Pacific Northwest, most of them from Sea-Tac. Other airlines, including United-Continental, have also taken flights off their schedules today. The cancellations reflect airlines' new way of doing business.
