Sea-Tac will be first city where Southwest and AirTran combine all operations

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport will become the prototype for Southwest Airline's operations integration with its new merger partner, AirTran next summer, Southwest said this week. Southwest said two existing AirTran flights between Sea-Tac and Atlanta will become Southwest flights beginning Aug. 12. That will increase daily Southwest flights from Sea-Tac to 41 and make the airport the first in the country where all AirTran flights are converted to Southwest flights.
