Frontier Airlines will have new schedule in March

NEWPORT NEWS - The executive director of the Newport News-Williamsburg International Airport says efforts remain ongoing to find an AirTran replacement and Frontier Airlines will introduce a more business-friendly flight schedule come March. Ken Spirito said airport officials continue to work with carriers to secure a new airline or expand existing service to fill the service gap that will ensue in March when the Peninsula's most popular airline carrier closes shop. Spirito said discussions continue with the airport's existing tenants - including Delta and U.S. Airways - who are considering expanding routes.
